Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account (via Clerk authentication), including your email address and profile information. When you use Peep to track Instagram profiles, we collect publicly available Instagram data such as usernames, follower counts, and following lists. We also collect payment information through Stripe when you subscribe to a paid plan.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve Peep's services, including tracking Instagram profile changes, sending notifications about follower activity, and processing payments. We use AI classification to categorize Instagram connections by type (male, female, brand) using publicly available profile data.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Convex (our database provider) and Clerk (our authentication provider). Payment information is processed and stored by Stripe β€” we never store your credit card details directly. All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/SSL.

4. Instagram Data

Peep only accesses publicly available Instagram data. We do not require your Instagram credentials, and we never log into Instagram on your behalf. The Instagram data we collect includes public profile information, follower lists, and following lists from public accounts only.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Clerk for authentication, Stripe for payment processing, Convex for data storage, and PostHog for analytics. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

6. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard settings. We will delete your tracked profile data upon account deletion.

7. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at support@peep.com.
